4.9/5 based on 38 votes

Vietnam has approved the lengthening of visa-free stays for citizens of countries with unilateral Vietnam visa exemption. They will be exempted from Vietnam visa for up to 45 days in Vietnam, instead of current 15 days.

This Visa Exemption policy will take effect on 15th August.

Citizens of countries with unilateral Vietnam visa exemption are: Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.

In addition, from this August 15th, the validity of Vietnam e-Visa will be extended to 90 days and is valid for multiple entries, the length of each stay is maximum 30 days. This is a significant increase over the current e-Visa, which is valid for 30 days for single entry.

The extending of the e-Visa validity period and the lengthening of visa-free stays are both favorable developments for tourism in Vietnam. These reforms will make it easier and more comfortable for tourists to visit Vietnam, contributing to the country's economic growth.
